HANDICAP FRIENDLY

First Baptist Church of Peoria has made inroads into making the building handicap friendly.  This is an ongoing mission of the Board of Trustees, and work in this area will continue.

IMPROVEMENTS:

• All rooms on one level.

• All entry doors are wide and have easy crossings.

• Automatic entry doors in Fellowship Hall, and the Side entrance

• Front entrance has been improved by removal of uneven tile.

• Automatic Door at the front of the Church, under the portico.

• New handicap-friendly entry doors to Fellowship Hall

• Rough tile removed from around front double doors -- chair friendly cement pad installed

• Pews have been moved/removed to make wider aisles and suitable places for wheel chairs.

• 2 Handicap Restrooms with easy- to-use hardware, and emergency call cord.

• Handicap Parking Places in the side and back parking lots.

• Audio Assistance is available.

• Large Print Bulletins are available for the Worship Services.

• Friendly people to help at all times!!
